With this topic I'm proud to announce my almost finished brand new Portal XL 5.0. Premod along phpBB 3.0.5 .

The package will include a new generation multi purpose installer, which means it can be used for all Portal XL 5.0 Premod occasions so far. As usual for the XL 5.0 range there is one folder to upload ( \root\ retaining the directory structure) only. For better overview all included MODs are grouped under the .MODS tab in ACP after database installation if applicable. The Portal will have a own tab as usual with version check removed to save load on my server.

The first six tabs of the installation script are as usual.
Tab seven "UPGRADE PREMOD" is meant to create all database entries for the premod.
Tab eight "UPGRADE REMOVE" is for removing those entries including them from the standard installation without leaving any remnant. Attention! Tab eight will de-install the portal premod completely even as tab four does for a Portal XL 5.0 Plain set-up.

In case of returning to a plain phpBB3 delete all files and folders in your forum directory except config.php and upload a fresh phpBB3 (remove file config.php and directory \install\ from that package).

To get back to standard Portal XL 5.0 Plain choose the second tab "Install" and install database changes again, delete all files and folders in your forum directory except config.php and upload a fresh phpBB3 (remove file config.php and directory \install\ from that package) have the default files of Portal XL 5.0 Plain on hand (remove directory \install\ from that package) to replace the phpBB3 files with.

As the premod package grows to big, all unfinished Premod language translations and additional language packs will be removed from Premod's distribution. Language packs can be found in the appropriate language section on this site.
Stylesdemo as there is a better alternative here.

Hold the line... PS: There will no converting script available for XL 4.0 Premod > XL 5.0 Premod! Mod request are not possible. Portal XL 5.0 Premod is meant to make a forums admin live easier. In this context the included mods where chosen. Different favourite mod's not in the above list, have to be installed by the forum admin him-/herself to please forum users with additional mods.

Finally got my Pay system built had a small issue with something on the site, so I came here to discover xl 4 was no more.
I totally understand and I am in hopes that this portal will sustain the test of time.

I have installed what you have and am planning to launch the my site before the new year.

Look forward to building a membership this coming year, and back off of the site building. I have found that outsourcing costly but a wonderful thing.

Can some English Language perfectionist check on grammar and other language glitches to have a clear installation manual please?
